The Self Love Tour by Zahr Wellness: Self Love
Self Love is the foundation for ALL other love. It has a BROAD scope and can seem very overwhelming for those on the beginning phases of their journey. However, be not discouraged, for as with every skill, the more you practice the more proficient you become.
When we love ourselves, we feel less stressed or uncomfortable when going through difficult events or situations. We no longer want to and actually won't compete with or compare ourselves to others. We embrace our hardships. We become optimistic thinkers, and we are willing to get creative and attempt new things.
Most people have mastered Self Love on the physical level and this is always lovely however as your Self Love Tour Guide, I encourage you to take the deep dive into the depths of who you are and UNLOCK the DIVINE POTENTIAL stored within you in wait of your own DISCOVERY!
Lessons Learned: The Key to Discovering the True Self
In order to heal the inner child we first have to find it. This is something that should always be done under the guidance of a professional who knows about these methods.
This is because it can be an extremely emotional thing to do. It takes time and it nearly always involves looking at inner wounds that may not have been admitted or faced in any way for decades. But as with a physical wound it needs to be looked at to make sure the right place is tended to so that it can heal. No one would put a medical dressing on a large cut without ensuring it was going to actually go over the wound.
This process can involve methods such as journaling, meditation, one-on-one counseling and group therapy. There are some other methods such as learning to reparent yourself and writing positive affirmations.
Here are four steps to discovering the true self:
1. Learn to be “real” by practicing being “real” with others who are safe for you.
2. Identify your healthy human needs.
3. Grieve your ungrieved hurts, traumas and losses.
4. Work through your core recovery, relationship and life issues.
Most people who go through a process of healing their inner child will find a new peace and happiness.
